Foxy Originals encourages designers to think outside the box and into circles with the Project Pattern Contest.
This fall Foxy launched a design contest that received an overwhelming response from designers across the globe.
Toronto, ON (October 20, 2009) – The Canadian fashion jewelry house Foxy Originals Inc. is known for their edgy, trendy, and truly one of a kind jewelry designs. Foxy’s signature necklace design is the “two-in-one” reversible pendant that offers women multiple accessorizing solutions in one necklace. Throughout the last six years, Foxy owners and designers Jen Kluger and Suzie Orol have designed over 50 unique two-in-one reversible necklaces for fashion lovers alike. The inspiration behind these unique jewelry designs evolves from the designers’ worldly travels.
This fall, Foxy launched the Project Pattern Contest that encouraged designers from across the globe to craft their vision of the perfect two -in-one circular reversible Foxy necklace. Contest submissions were accepted from August to September. The winner‘s artistic profile will be featured on the Foxy Originals website and they will see their design manufactured and sold online on the company’s website. Additionally they will receive a $250 cash prize.
The Foxy team was thrilled by the overwhelming response to the contest, and enjoyed reviewing design submissions and envisioning them in necklace form.
“We were completely blown away by the abundance of submissions, and the wide array of creative ideas that flowed in from across North America. The contest submissions really represented the multifaceted personalities of the women that make up the Foxy customer base. It was evident that our customers are creative women that appreciate design. It was so hard to narrow it down to only a few finalists.” Remarked Kluger.
Orol adds, “We are extremely proud to be the first fashion jewelry company in Canada to involve our customers in our design process and engage them in a creative manner. We were so thrilled by the outcome of our very first jewelry design contest and we look forward to having another one in the near future!”
After many hours of deliberation, the Foxy team selected the five design finalists and launched the second phase of the contest: Project Pattern Vote. Foxy fans now have the opportunity to cast a vote for their favorite design and impact the future of an independent designer. The design finalist with the largest number of votes will win the Project Pattern Contest. The winner will be announced on November 1st, 2009 on the homepage of www.foxyoriginals.com.
